Is this the Ocean Palace Lavos? as that form is VERY tough at 30.000HP compared to using the bucket or Epoch.
Does Ganondorf even have the Epoch with him so he can skip the first round all together?
If you use the bucket or Epoch Lavos is MUCH weaker but you have to fight thru 3 forms. Actually 2 forms because using the time machine you can ram thru the outer shell SKIPPING the annoying first round where he mimics the various bosses though the bad part is you CANNOT save once inside UNLIKE if you used the bucket at the End of Time.
Note. If you use the bucket defeating the outer shell once then leave to do some sidequest you will NEVER have to fight that round again!
I have tried to beat him on my first try but can only get 3 turns worth of damage in before my party is wiped out with his *Rains of Destruction* and his nassssssssssty needle attack even at level 59.
I am able to survive the needle attack with a safe helmet but then his *chaos* spell gets me so I have to use a Vigil hat to protect my status.
I will try again if I can get New Game + now that I have the Prism Helmets.
I forgot to mention using the time machine to ram thru the shell will cripple the machine either entirely or just it's flying abilities.
I am not sure which as I haven't beaten Lavos yet. I can't get past his third form because I didn't know I wasn't suppose to hit the humanoid.
There should've been some clue like before you fight the Dragon Tank which you read the *Owners Manual* lying on the floor when the Prison Warden is knocked out.
Depends on which version of Lavos he is fighting.
